GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
The goal of the competition is to bridge the gap between the various ethnic communities and to promote mutual understanding among the cultures;
Promote youth creativity;
Engage gifted children in creative activity;
Facilitate cultural exchange and search for new ideas;
Study foreign cultures and languages;
Support professional growth of artists;
Provide new performance opportunities for young artists.
GENERAL PROVISIONS
1. The Contest is held in one round at:
Plummer Park , Fiesta Hall. 7377 Santa Monica Blvd, West Hollywood, CA 90046 and is open to the general public.
2. Young performers will participate in one of the following age groups:
Up to 8
9 to 11 years
12 to 14 years
15 to 18 years3. Competition is held in the following genres:
– piano
– string instrumentsEach participant must present two contrasting memorized selections from different periods of music (Baroque, Romantic, Classical or Contemporary).
Duration of performances differs based on age group:
Up to 8 years – (both pieces) 5 min.
9 to 11 years – (both pieces) 7 min.
12 to 14 years – (both pieces) 10 min.
15 to 18 years – (both pieces) 12 min.

Non-refundable Registration Fee for SOLO is $80 for the performance of two works in any nomination.
Non-refundable Registration Fee for DUO is $40 per person for the performance of two works in any nomination.
